Le Vele Resort Activities
An Array of Grace Bay Beach Activities to Enjoy

Swimming Pool and Grace Bay Beach

Le Vele Turks and Caicos Resort guests enjoy amenities of a resort during their stay on beautiful Grace Bay Beach; including an infinity-edge swimming pool. Enjoy the warmth of the Caribbean sun and the relaxation and serenity of world famous Grace Bay Beach, Le Vele Resort enjoys 300+ feet of beachfront on Grace Bay Beach and is only a few minutes walk along the beach to a snorkel reef just offshore.

SCUBA Diving

The Turks and Caicos Islands are world-famous for spectacular scuba diving - warm water, light current, outstanding visibility, beautiful marine life, and first-class dive operators. Dive operators are located on or near our properties and discounted diving packages can be arranged before you arrive on the island. Contact our reservations office, or speak to our live Reservations Agent for further information.

If you are not a certified diver, you can still experience scuba diving by signing up for a SCUBA Instruction Class ("Resort Course"). After an equipment and safety orientation, you learn some basic skills in a pool. Then board the dive boat and accompany your instructor on a guided dive to one of the offshore coral reefs. All equipment is included. If you get hooked, full certification courses are available. Or complete the classroom and pool work at home, then come to the Turks and Caicos Islands for your open water dives!

Snorkeling

Some of the best snorkeling on Turks and Caicos Islands can be found just outside your patio on Grace Bay Beach. Tropical fish are abundant just offshore, as well as at the coral reef located a short swim into the sparkling waters of the Caribbean Sea. If you need equipment, it can be rented nearby.

Golf

The eighteen hole (par 72) championship Provo Golf Club course was designed by Karl Litten and opened in 1992. A four tee position system offers a formidable test for golfers of all calibers. This now mature course is consistently rated as one of the top 10 in the Caribbean. The course is watered by a state-of-the-art irrigation system using 300,000 gallons of desalinated water daily.

Proud to be hosting the 53rd Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship in August 2009 the challenging ‘target-style’ course features rugged limestone outcroppings, lush, indigenous landscaping, beautifully manicured emerald greens, placid lakes abundant with resident and migratory birds and cooling trade winds - a great test of golf for the professional or amateur.

Tee opens at 7am and twilight rates are available year round.

Water Sports

Turks and Caicos Islands are famous for crystal clear water, light currents, and stunning reefs and sea life – making it one of the top SCUBA diving and snorkeling spots in the world. But there are many other exciting water sports available on the island.

Water Toys
Waverunners, sailboats, sea kayaks, sailboards, parasailing, glass-bottom boats, and sunset cruises are available from several water sports operators on Grace Bay Beach.

Fishing
You can catch an unbelievable variety of reef fish on a snorkel trip with a Caymanian captain. Those who are really serious can arrange deep sea fishing.
